Welcome to Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Savannah, Georgia. Known for its authentic barbecue experience, this restaurant excels in slow-smoked meats and traditional Southern flavors. From the moment you step through the doors at 7822 Abercorn St, you are greeted with a warm atmosphere and friendly faces, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience.
One of the must-try dishes is the Classic Pulled Pork, which features succulent, slow-smoked pork shoulder paired with the restaurant's original BBQ sauce. For those who seek a taste of the Carolinas, the Carolina Pork Plate is a delightful choice, offering a choice of either chopped pork tossed in Carolina vinegar sauce or pulled with mustard sauce on the side. If you're in the mood for beef, the Beef Brisket is smoked to perfection for 12 hours, resulting in tender, flavorful slices that will leave you in awe.
Beyond the main attractions, Jim 'N Nick’s also offers convenience for larger gatherings. Their Bulk Protein options allow you to bring the smoky goodness to your next event, serving up dishes by the pound that include pulled pork, whole chickens, and even sliced turkey. Prices are reasonable, too, with fish plates starting from around US$17.99.
Patrons rave about the quality and portion sizes. Customer feedback highlights the delicious flavor and the restaurant's meticulous attention to cleanliness and service. Marcella Dominguez excitedly shares her experience, noting the juicy BBQ chicken and delightful sides. Similarly, others have commented on the attentive staff and the delicious cheese biscuits served upon arrival. Each visit promises a welcoming environment and great food, making it no surprise that guests are already planning their next return.
However, while the dishes generally receive high praise, a few reviews did mention minor adjustments they’d like in terms of portion sizes and seasonings. For instance, Laura Sherman noted that the BBQ sandwich was satisfying, but hinted that the baker could use a little more meat to justify its price. Such feedback indicates a commitment to continuous improvement, which is essential in the restaurant industry.
To sum it all up, Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q not only delivers incredible barbecue but also champions an inviting atmosphere and top-notch service. Whether you’re popping in for a casual dinner or catering for a larger event, this establishment embodies the rich traditions of Southern barbecue and customer hospitality. It’s a dining experience that frequently leaves guests raving, ensuring they’ll be "back again" to savor the smoky delights.

Good service, clean restaurant, staff was friendly. Brisket was great, fries were seasoned perfectly. The BBQ corn wasn’t what was expected, when it to the rub. Hard to describe other than it had a spice I wasn’t expecting but also felt like it wasn’t complimentary to the sweet corn itself.

We were greeted at the door and given orientation. The young lady at the register knew her stuff and was very helpful. The staff at the table were very attentive. We were served delicious cheese biscuits after sitting at table. We ordered the BBQ sandwich with sides of fries and potato salad, the baker and brisket salad. The BBQ sandwich was good, the baker needed more meat to equal its cost and more sauce (sauce was on table), the salad was perfect with the BBQ ranch dressing (didn't care for the croutons flavor). Overall a good dinner experience.

Not usually a five star fan but this location is awesome. Maybe because it’s new, but hopefully they can maintain how it is now. Food was delicious, reasonably priced, portion of the sides were a little small but nothing the taste didn’t make up for. The star of the show is the customer service. Very kind and hardworking staff, a lot of heart behind this location.

Entering Jim N' Nicks you can just feel the newness in the air. It's clean and the staff are all consistently helping with the flow of things. The amount of people that ask the same questions though is a bit overwhelming when you're in conversation with someone else. Someone named Daniel asked us so many questions that eventually he started saying, "you guys finding everything okay?" It was funny but in a not so funny way after the 5th time. There are many positions up front and the woman even though she was nice she didn't know much about the menu. I asked her what was in their house salad she said, "It's only cheese, tomatoes, bacon and croutons." My salad also had cucumber and some sort of nut concoction that almost blended in with the bacon. If I was allergic to nuts they would've had a HUGE problem on their hands. The food is consistently good though but I'm definitely not a fan of their turkey, chili or sausage and I haven't ate the brisket separately yet. The ribs and smoked chicken are my favorite meats here but the burger, nachos (minus the crema) and smoked wings are great too. The greens, Mac and baked beans surprised me because most BBQ joints can't do sides right. Oh, and this may seem small but The lettuce for the salad was fresh and that was a major plus for me. I just tried the BBQ corn and baked potatoes and those are added to the list of likes. The corn has a major kick though so be prepared and the baked potato was perfectly cooked even though it’s huge! The biggest downside is waiting in line to order. It's confusing on rather or not a tip should be left but clearly they're in a shift pool upfront.
